The TRIDENT7 system was designed to meet the stringent requirements of PTTs worldwide. TRIDENT7 provides carrier-class telephony demanded by PTTs while also offering advanced data and video service capabilities. Supporting both RF video and IP video, PTTs are enabled with a network to compete on all service offerings.

The TRIDENT7 platform provides a practical solution to competitive local exchange carriers for deploying geographically-dispersed networks. With an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) supporting up to 2,304 Optical Network Terminals (ONT) or a Compact OLT (COLT) supporting up to 256 ONTs, CLECs have the flexibility to deploy a next generation optical network that scales well in greenfield opportunities to compete with incumbents.
The TRIDENT7 also supports open access models where multiple service providers serve customers over the FTTP network, thus maximizing the CLECs revenue potential.
